How to Use Sermorelin Injections for the Best Results

How to Use Sermorelin Injections

Learning how to use sermorelin injections at home is an easy process, and will provide the best results when it comes to raising growth hormone levels naturally.

Your doctor will prescribe sermorelin acetate alone or in combination with growth hormone releasing peptides depending on your body’s needs. Instructions for sermorelin acetate injections whether on their own or in conjunction with GHRP are the same.

Please keep the following important guidelines in mind before every injection:

  • 1. Check the expiration date on the vial before each use
  • 2. Examine the vial before withdrawing your daily dose – check for cloudy or discolored appearance as well as crystals or particles – do not use if any of these issues are present
  • 3. Always use a new needle/syringe for each injection
  • 4. Inject sermorelin on an empty stomach – wait two hours before eating or after eating

Following these instructions for sermorelin injections usage will result in the superior benefits that you seek from increasing the natural production of growth hormone by your pituitary gland.

Sermorelin Injection Instruction Guide

Sermorelin is delivered in an ice cooler pack and must remain refrigerated at all times, except when in use to prepare the next injection.

You will receive either 3 mg, 6 mg, or 9 mg vials of sermorelin either by itself, in combination with GHRP-2, GHRP-6, or together with GHRP-2 and GHRP-6. Your hormone specialist will discuss the prescribed medication with you before you begin to use sermorelin injections.

Before proceeding with the sermorelin injection, always wash your hands and gather the following supplies to a clean working area:

  • Sermorelin vial
  • Reconstitution syringe (for initial mixing of the solution)
  • Alcohol swabs
  • Insulin syringe
  • Sharps container

Here are the step by step instructions for sermorelin acetate injections administration:

(You will only complete the following six steps when preparing a new sermorelin vial for use.)

  • Remove the tops from the sermorelin and bacteriostatic vials and wipe the rubber stoppers with a new alcohol swab.
  • Open the wrapper of a new reconstitution syringe, check that the needle is securely in place, remove and set aside the needle cap, and insert the needle into the top of the bacteriostatic fluid vial.
  • Invert the vial to cover the needle with liquid and pull back on the plunger just beyond the 3 ml mark* – hold the syringe in place allowing the air in the syringe to return to the vial and ending at the 3 ml mark before removing the needle from the syringe.

*Note: this instruction is for sermorelin 3 mg vials. For those who use sermorelin 6 mg vials, you will fill the syringe to the 6 ml mark. If you have been prescribed sermorelin 9 mg vials, you will fill the syringe to the 9 ml mark. Complete instructions will be provided by your hormone specialist.

  • Insert the needle into the sermorelin vial and point it to the side of the vial while pushing in the plunger – this allows the fluid to run down the side of the vial into the powder.
  • Remove the needle, replace the cap, and discard in the Sharps container.
  • Gently swirl or roll the sermorelin vial between the palms of your hands for 15 seconds to finish mixing the solution – never shake sermorelin.

(Complete these steps for each daily sermorelin injection – remember to always wipe sermorelin vial top with an alcohol swab before using.)

  • Take a new insulin syringe, remove the safety end of the plunger, take off and set aside the needle cap, and insert the needle tip into the top of the sermorelin vial.
  • Invert the vial so that the sermorelin solution covers the needle and pull the plunger slowly back a little beyond your sermorelin acetate dosage. This allows you to then remove any air bubbles in the syringe as you return to your correct dosing point.
  • Remove the needle from the vial and replace the cap while you prepare the injection site.
  • Open a new alcohol swab and wipe the area you will use to inject your sermorelin for 10 seconds.
  • Uncap the needle and using your other hand, pinch an area of skin around the injection site and insert the needle into the pinched skin at a 45-degree angle.
  • Release the pinch as you begin to inject the sermorelin and continue pushing the plunger all the way in until the syringe is empty.
  • Withdraw the needle from the skin, replace the cap, and discard the entire unit in the Sharps container.
